FAQ's:
Why should I book with Bow Field Hire?
This shoud be your number one question. The
answer is simple. We have completed 1000's of jobs and so have a
wealth of experience behind us. We have an exclusive
selection of vehicles which are NOT available elsewhere. We have
the largest privately owned collection of cars in the area. We
are
dedicated, committed and unrivalled. We are insured. We are legitimate.
If you have been quoted an 'attractive' price elsewhere, there is
always a reason. As with anything in life, you get what you pay for.
You don't get nothing for nothing. Your wedding day is not a day for compromise. BEWARE!!
We have been here for 17 years. Now that should tell you something.
How long do I get the car for?
You decide the number of hours you require the car.
Do you provide champagne?
No. We are not licensed to provide alcohol.
Can we drink in the car?
No. Sorry, we can't afford to have spillages on the upholstery.
Do you provide flowers in the car?
Yes, wherever possible. It is not possible in some vehicles i.e. convertibles.
Can we exceed the stated number of passengers?
No. This would contravine our insurance.
Will the car have ribbons on?
Yes. We provide either white or ivory. You are welcome to provide your own.
Will the car wait at the church?
Yes, always.
Can you take the bridesmaids to church first?
Yes. Providing the journey time does not exceed 10 minutes each
way. This extra journey is chargeable.
Can we provide our own flowers in the car?
Yes, if you wish, but you will need to send your florist to us to check the space.
Can we go to the park for more photo's?
Yes. This extra location is chargeable, please ask for rates.
Can we put luggage/belongings in the boot of the car?
Yes, but you are totally responsible for remembering to remove them at
the end of hire. If you forget, someone will need to collect them from
us.
I want to arrive late at the church, will you let me do this?
You have contracted a period of hire and have agreed to be ready to
depart at the time you have requested. If you are late starting,
you may cause yourself to be late finishing. This we cannot
accommodate if you have not previously arranged it.
I may want to change some of the details of hire at a later date, maybe add something or change a location. Can I do this?
We are not always able to accommodate changes but will always do our
best. But do be aware that we have quoted you based on the
information you have supplied and this creates the contract agreed by
both parties. Any alterations are likely to incur additional
costs. Additional time will be charged in half hour units or
part thereof per vehicle. Any changes must be advised 4 weeks
prior to the date of hire.
When is the balance payment due?
4 (four) weeks
before the date of hire. This can be paid by cheque, cash or
credit/debit card. Late payments cannot be settled by cheque.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes we do. We offer discounts on all vehicles
featured in Showroom 1 for local weddings of a normal duration and mileage on week-days and every day in winter i.e.
1st November - 31st March. Also, check our SPECIALS page for current promotions. We also run special offers at our open days.
Do you price match?
No we do not. We offer the best, unrivalled service you will
find. We offer no gimmicks, just good old fashioned top
rate service. We don't need to price match, our vehicles and service
are worth more than we charge.
What happens if the car breaks down?
This is a question with many different scenarios and therefore a simple
answer is not possible. We will try to answer this in the
simplest terms as follows:
1.
If the car should break down in the weeks/days leading up to the
wedding, we will do all that we can to put it right in time for the
day. If we cannot, you will be notified and either be offered an
alternative vehicle, if we have one available, or a full refund.
2.
If the car breaks down on the day of the wedding, you will be
notified and either be offered an alternative vehicle, if we have one
available, or a full refund.
3.
If the car breaks down during the course of the wedding, well
that is a whole new ball game. The chauffeur will make his
preliminary checks to try to resolve the fault, do bear in mind he is
not a mechanic. Should this fail, you will be on your way
soon enough if you have ordered a back-up car. If you have
not, then it will be all hands on deck to get you there one way or
another, by fair means or foul. If this means flagging down a
kind motorist, a taxi or the RAC, then so be it. Our goal is to
get you there. Be assured, your chauffeur will as distressed (if
not more) than you. The chances are, you will be late. Cars are
machines and so it is inevitable that from time to time (and it is
rare) that they do break down. This in no way reflects on our
commitment to maintain all vehicles to the highest standards possible.
Anyone hiring a car, particularly one of our old girls, should have a
modicum of sense regarding this. It must be accepted by the hirer that
booking a vehicle does not guarantee its performance. It does no
good to apportion blame, just understand, that sometimes
it happens and it cannot be foreseen. See it for what it is,
a nuisance, inconvenient, some may even say funny, but it's no
ones fault.
