1. The hire
charge quoted is in accordance with the details provided by the Hirer
on our booking form. The agreed period of hire can be extended
by prior arrangement only, no less than 21 days prior to the date of
hire and time permitting and will incur additional costs calculated in
half hour units or part thereof per vehicle. Other variations to
the agreed contract must be agreed with Bow Field Hire no less than 21
days prior to the date of hire and may incur additional costs.
Any extension of time requested during the agreed period of hire
will subject to time permitting and will incur costs. An agreed
extension to the period of hire will only commence once payment has
been made in CASH ONLY to the chauffeur. Cheques are not accepted
nor payment at the end of the new agreed hire period.
2. The reservation of any vehicle is not confirmed until the deposit in full has been received.
3. The vehicle(s)
booked will be clean and dressed with ribbons. Silk flower
arrangements will be provided if the vehicle has a rear parcel shelf.
Chauffeurs will be in appropriate attire. Chauffeurs will
perform their duties in a helpful, polite and courteous manner.
3. The vehicle(s)
will arrive at the collection address as advised. The Hirer must
ensure that persons to be conveyed are ready to leave at the agreed
Hire Start Time i.e. Departure Time as detailed on the booking
agreement. The Hirer must ensure that the Hire Finish Time as
detailed on the booking agreement is adhered to.
4. Every effort
is made to ensure against damage to, or loss of property of the Hirer
or any member of their party travelling in our vehicles. The
Proprietor will not be liable for damage to, or loss of property,
howsoever caused.
5. We are unable
to accept liability for delay and/or breakdown of vehicle(s) caused by
circumstances beyond our control, occurring prior to, or within the
agreed hire period. We are unable to accept liability if it
becomes necessary to withdraw a booked vehicle before or during the
agreed hire period for any reason whatsoever. The Hirer will be
informed as soon as is practical to do so of any problems arising.
The Proprietor reserves the right to offer an alternative
vehicle, if available. The Hirer shall not be under any
obligation whatsoever to accept a substitute vehicle if offered.
Should the Hirer reject an alternative vehicle then all monies
paid be refunded in full. The Hirer accepts that the
Proprietor does not guarantee to supply vehicles as booked if weather
conditions become hazardous. Should such conditions arise, we
reserve the right to offer a vehicle more suited to cope with adverse
conditions or to withdraw entirely.
If conditions dictate the entire withdrawal of hire, a refund of all monies paid will be refunded in full.
Refunds will be limited
to, and shall not exceed monies received by Bow Field Hire. The
Hirer shall not be entitled to an alternative vehicle AND a refund
unless the alternative vehicle offered and accepted is of a lower hire
value, then the difference will be refunded. If an alternative
vehicle is of a higher rate than that booked and is accepted, the Hirer
shall not be entitled to any refund.
All vehicles are maintained to the highest standard but we do not guarantee the performance of any vehicle.
6. The Hirer
accepts and understands that the majority of our vehicles are of an age
whereby they do not have the benefit of modern technology and precision
engineering and therefore there is an increased risk of mechanical
failure.
7. Smoking, eating or drinking is not permitted in any hire vehicle.
The chauffeur will have
the right to refuse entry into any vehicle in his charge to any person
who is, or appears to be under the influence of alcohol. The
chauffeur will withdraw from hire if he subject to any abusive
behaviour. The chauffeurs decision if final.
Any damage to our
vehicles howsoever caused by the Hirer or persons in their party,
including sickness, will incur a minimum charge of £200
8. The Hirer
should ensure that all belongings are removed from the vehicle at the
termination of the hire period. Items left should be collected
before disposal within 14 days.
9. EVENING
COLLECTIONS. The vehicle(s) will arrive at the agreed time and
WILL NOT WAIT. Passengers must be ready to leave at the agreed
time. A vehicle can only wait by prior arrangement, time
permitting, and will be charged in half hour units or part thereof.
10. LOCATIONS FOR
PHOTOGRAPHS. Additional locations for photographs etc. are by
prior arrangement only. Minimum charge £45.00 per vehicle.
11. CANCELLATION. Cancellations
must be received in writing from the Hirer no less than twelve weeks
prior to the date of hire, otherwise the balance in full will be due.
Telephone cancellations are not accepted.
12. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the cancellation or amendment is made by the Proprietor.
13. The balance in
full will be due 4 weeks prior to the date of hire. late payments
cannot be settled by cheque. The full fee is required for
bookings made less than 4 weeks before the date of hire.
14. Credit card payments charged at 2.5% American Express payments charged at 3.75%
15. The Hirer, upon the reservation of a vehicle or vehicles, agrees to and accepts our Terms and Conditions of Booking.
